The B.Métis Foundation is the culmination of the charity work that Julie and Béatrice have been doing for over 20 years now, between achievements, projects and hopes.

The first charity they founded was the Jolie Julie association, which quickly became a Charity of General Interest and has helped ‘different’ children from a wide range of families and centers, including International Jean Vianney’s Arches, La Rosée and Chrysalide in the Basque Country, and others throughout Europe.

Prior to this, Béatrice had set up the Awhefa Foundation for African orphans and won the UNESCO World Decade Prize for her project bringing together 27 African countries, UNESCO, the Club du Sahel, the OECD and the World Bank.

After “L’Œuvre Jolie Julie”, Béatrice launched “L’Œuvre Ithurria” and the International Symposia for Research to help “disabled” children, as well as a project for a Thalasso Centre to provide care and well-being for families. The “School of Expression through Connection” and the “Academy” for young people with disabilities, like Julie, have also been set up.

Julie and Béatrice’s hope is to build on these experiences and projects to set up and develop orphanage-schools around the world, and to relaunch the Academy and the School of Connection, among others…
